Until now best the results have been obtained with the MIVOC. Best results for iron (not operation intensity !) have been presented at the 14th Int. Workshop
ECRIS (CERN) in 1999. Technical description is given in the publication below:
Oven method:
Although very good results have been obtained with the MIVOC method, preliminary tests have recently started (2016)
using the oven method in order to see if higher intensities can be obtained for high charge states.
The results presented below have been obtained with the ECR4-14 GHz ion source.
They have been performed at GANIL using the LCO HT oven (Large Capacity Oven High Temperature).
